The interior of the main prayer hall with the elaborately carved late 16th-century minbar (pulpit for the Friday sermon), built in the reign of the Ottoman Sultan Murad III (1574-1595) and still in use today. The columns on either side of it are painted to resemble marble in a polychrome Ottoman style.
